My Crops are Growing Well

Remember the post I made about the Aero Garden Lori gave me for Christmas? I planted the seed pods on December 27th. This is what my garden looked like on January 8th.

Here's what it looks like today, about a month later. From left to right: mint, parsley, basil, purple basil, dill, chives and thyme.

Right now the dill is the tallest at 5 1/2 inches. The chives and basil were taller, but I trimmed them back a few days ago so they didn't hit the light. I wanted to let the other herbs catch up a little. Now I have to find some recipes I like so I can use them.

I hope y'all have a great weekend!

Wow so I am soooo wanting that garden kit now! I love cooking with those herbs. Chicken cacciatore would be awesome or roast lamb with all the sides.
I think I have the drunk munchies.
I LOL'ed about the farmer comment cept y'all wouldn't have a pitchfork....more like barrels of gin & tonic!

*kisses to you both*

Please do tell how purple basil tastes different than the regular... if it does. ;) I've never heard of it!!

very cool. where's a good place to buy one online? i see them on amazon and ebay. looks like you can also get them direct on aerogarden.com. any advantage to buying them one place or another?

Anon - I have no idea where the least expensive place to buy it is, but I'll bet the Aero Garden web site isn't one of them. I sure they have to sell it for list price so not to compete with retail outlets that agreed to sell them.

Hey! I'll met you a bet!

You chose what we have to do. If the Giants win, I have to do it. If the Pats win, you have to do it.

Come by and tell me what it would be. No point spread. Just flat out win.

Katie - Bring it on! Anything you want, anything! Well, as long as it's naughty. ;-)

Hey Tony:-)
Sorry your having trouble seeing my blog. It seems if folks use foxfire they can't see the blog. I don't know why either. I had foxfire but went back to windows I.E. due to that very problem *UGH*..
So do you like the hydro garden? I want one of these. I love fresh herbs to cook with:-).
