GOOD NEWS! I got my computer back from repair and it works just fine. But that's about where the good news ends.
Yesterday my hard drive crashed. I had a new one and took it to someone to be repaired. I could have done the swap myself, but before I could make a Ghost copy of the mater drive to my slave drive, the master drive stopped functioning completely. I was hoping the repairman could do something to save my data.
The repairman called me late this afternoon and said he couldn't do anything to save my data, because the hard drive is shot. He told me he did install a new operating system and the computer was working fine. I pretty much knew that before I took it to him, but was hoping he could do something anyway. It cost me $200 for something I could have done myself. Oh well, lesson learned.
Some of the bad news is that I lost all my email records and email address book, my bookmarks for Firefox and also have to install a ton of software. You can see the stack of CD's I have to install in the picture above in addition to all the downloaded programs I use. There is some good news. I saved the downloaded program files on my slave drive. That means I don't have to download them again, just install them.
I also copied the bookmarks to my laptop right after I bought it, so I didn't loose most of them. I've copied them back to my desktop computer. I did loose some great bookmarks to some awesome porno movie sites I recently found. Great stuff. They have a lot of free 20 and 30 minute movies with excellent resolution and quality.
Now listen to me, I vow not to rest until I locate those sites again! I remember they were web sites in Denmark so at least I have it narrowed down to one country. I could have a long night ahead of me.
PS
Sorry that the picture isn't of better quality. I only managed to take a couple of pictures before my camera battery died. At least I hope it just died and my camera didn't crap out too.
My little corner of the internet here is the place where I post things that are on my mind.

Guess What's Missing....
Can you guess what's missing from this picture?
It's my fucking computer, that's what!
It was fine when I left for Rhode Island and last night when I got back, it was making a clicking noise. Today, it died.
I'm on my laptop now so the update of my Rohode Island trip will have to wait until my desktop gets fixed, whic hopefully will be soon.

I'm back!
Friday I took Lori, her son and one of her daughters up to Rhode Island and just got back. Lori's niece graduated from high school last week, so we went up for the party.
Not a lot exciting to tell you about. Well, except there was breakfast in bed everyday at her mom's house and then Sunday night, Lori's mom climbed into bed with us after we all got back from the party. Lori said it was typical family get together stuff.
It's kind of late right now, so I'll fill you in as soon as I get caught up around here.

Baby BTExpress HNT
I was looking at the photo album my mom sent me and found these photos of me when I was 15 months old. They were taken sometime during February 1950 when we lived in Windber, Pennsylvania.
I don't have any special reason for posting them, I just thought you'd be interested in seeing them. ;-)

Did you miss me?
My excuse for not posting, and I'll swear to it, is that I've been busy and just haven't had the time. Today the guilt got to me so here's a little something to make up for my negligence.
Last weekend Lori stayed at my place. Friday she was in bed nursing an infected tooth, but by Saturday morning the meds kicked in and she was feeling better. We did some snuggling and later that day we went shopping. She couldn’t eat anything that required very much chewing, so we bought the stuff so I could make meatloaf, creamed spinach and garlic mashed potatoes.
We also bought fresh local strawberries on Saturday and Lori made freezer jam. I'll tell you how to make it in another post. Let me tell you, that stuff is good and I recommend making it if you have the chance.
Sunday was Father’s Day, so Lori wanted to cook something for me that I’ve had a craving for, liver. What's that you say? You hate liver. Well, Lori and I love it. Especially smothered in onions and gravy over pasta. We also had a salad with blue cheese dressing.
Today Brain and I finished moving all the crap we trimmed off the bushes to the driveway in front of the house.
Right now I'm frigging starving, so I'm going warm up some liver and pasta for dinner. There's still some salad mix left so I think I'll have a salad too. I might also squeeze in a gin and tonic or seven.

Why am I posting tonight you ask?
It's Friday night at about midnight, Lori is lying in my bed and I am at the computer posting on my blog.
Why you ask? I know your thinking I'm crazy. I have a hot chick in my bed and I am on the computer. WTF are you doing Tony?
Well, I'll tell you.
Lori broke a tooth very badly last weekend eating a piece of bacon. At first it didn't bother her at all, but during the week, the nerves became irritated and it became infected. She went to the dentist on Friday but he couldn't do anything with the tooth, because of the swelling and infection. She has another appointment Monday morning.
He gave her some prescriptions and she is here with me for the weekend and i will take care of her.
So, when she got here after the dentist, I put on my caregivers hat and have been taking care of her. I think I am doing a good job so far.
I think it is better if I stay out here on the computer, instead of risking my fondling her while we are in bed. I just can't keep my hands off that body!
HOPEFULLY she will feel good enough for a little snuggling in the next day or two. If not, that's okay. I just want her to feel better.
Now, it's time for the antibiotic. Night!
Edit, Sarurday: Due to all of your kinds words and the meds, Lori felt a lot better this morning. So much better that there was major snuggling going on from 7:30 until we got out of bed about 1:30. Well, there was a nap in between, but just a short one. :-)

Am I weird?
I saw this at Recon’s place. She promised those who tagged themselves something special in their email if they did. So Recon, against my better judgement, because now everyone will know how weird I really am, here’s my weird side.
1. Whenever I take a shower, I must always wash the bottom of both of my feet. I have this feeling if I don’t, something bad will happen to me.
2. I have what’s left of the very first styptic pencil I bought after I was married in 1972. I have this feeling that when it’s all used up I will die, so I haven’t used it for who knows how long. I keep buying new ones when I need to, but will never use the old one. I keep it in the bathroom medicine cabinet in the plastic top to an old can of shaving cream I bought at the same time.
3. I put on my left sock first, then my right. Then I put on my left shoe and last I my right shoe. I’m not phobic about this like the first two things, but I always try to put them on in that order.
4. I put on my pants both legs at a time instead of one leg at a time. The same goes for my underwear. I have to be sitting down to do this, so I there’s no place for me to sit, I put them on one leg at a time like everyone else. I’m not phobic about this one either, but I just like doing it that way.
5. For about the first 25 years after I got out of the army in 1970, I would never sit with my back to the room. Now I will, but I still prefer not to. I think it has something to do with feeling like someone is going to sneak up behind me.
That’s all I can think of that I do, which has a tinge of weird to it. Now how weird are you?

Yard Work HNT
I've been working outside in the yard all week trimming bushes and pulling weeds. Today I finished the last of the trimming, now I have to clean up the mess I've made. Right now the bushes look pretty bad, because I had to cut them back so severly. I've done this before, so I know they will eventually fill out nicely and look like they are suppose to once again. Here are some before and after shots. I'll take some more shots once they fill out and compare them to these pictures.
Here's what the front of the house looked like before I trimmed.
Here's what it looked like after.
Here's what the bushes at the far end of the pool looked like before I trimmed.
Here's what they looked like after.
Here's what the bushes at the other end of the pool looked like before I trimmed.
That pile of trimmings on the right comes up to my shoulders.
Here are close ups of the bushes. I really cut them back a lot.
Here's what I looked like this afternoon after I was done trimming, but before I took a shower.
