I'm Defective HNT

Who'd a thunk it? I'm defective. I have high blood pressure. I told the doctors that it varies up and down, so they, he, decided to give me a 24-hour blood pressure monitor. He wanted to see what was up. So he gives me the monitor. He tells me that every hour on the hour the monitor will take my blood pressure.

That meant, day and night, this stupid blood pressure cuff would blow up and deflate. Around the clock. Interrupting my sleep. Hour upon hour. Around the fucking clock! That's right. Around the fucking clock. Interrupting my fucking sleep. Hour upon fucking hour. Around the fucking clock!

I already wake up at least 300 times a night due to my severe sleep apnea. I sure didn't need this.

I looked at the display each time the monitor went off. The top number varied from a high of 153 to a low of 113. See, I told them, him, that it varied.

Don't tell anyone, but the 153 was during my daily self-snuggling.

Anyway. Here I am trying to figure out the display during one of the tests. Yep, 153.

Hey, I'm naked! What else do you expect me to be doing when I'm naked. AND Lori is at work.. Now if she was here and I was naked, she'd be naked and we'd be ........ uh, snuggling.

Happy Defective HNT!

I have a horrible time sleeping. I never get more than three hours straight sleep.

I don't have high blood pressure, but my heart beats very fast, much faster than it should.

I also have asthma and I'm allergic to everything!

So we're both defective. :)

Happy HNT!

Kate - Maybe you have sleep apnea too.

Patti - I am, that's why I had the monitor. A couple weeks ago the cardiologist added another med, which helped.

Sorry to hear you have a tough time catching your z-z-z's, sweetie... but I'm sure if your gal was there, your blood pressure might shoot right thru the damn roof, in one particular area, located right underneath that monitor you're holding. lol ;) Now, am I right?

HHNT! =)

I had a bout of sleep apnea and it webt away after I started using a product called ayr (nasal gel) it opened up my air passages and allowed me to sleep better.

The BP is easily treatable, increase fiber, omega 3 fatty acids and reduce sodium.

tony-nice picture!! i had to wear one of those when they were trying to find out what was wrong with me (ms), and yes, it was a G*damned pain in the ass, cuz i had to wear it under my shirt at work!!

OK, payback is well deserved. But it still isn't as bad as the time your arse popped up on the screen with no warning!!!

That sleep apnea is actually something you should have looked at. I know several people at work that get extra percentages because of it. The docs also give them some sort of mask to sleep with. They say they sleep much better now and feel rested.
