THE CAT IN THE HAT ON AGING

Just in case you weren't feeling too old today, this will certainly change things.
  • The people who are starting college this fall across the nation were born in 1987 .
  • They are too young to remember the space shuttle blowing up.
  • Their lifetime has always included AIDS.The CD was introduced the year they were born.
  • They have always had an answering machine.
  • They have always had cable.
  • Jay Leno has always been on the Tonight Show.
  • Popcorn has always been cooked in the microwave.
  • They never took a swim and thought about Jaws.!
  • They don't know who Mork was or where he was from.
  • They never heard: "Where's the Beef?"or "de plane Boss, de plane".
  • They don't have a clue how to use a typewriter.
Do you feel old yet? (Sorry) Pass this on to the other old fogies on your list. Notice the larger type, that's for those of you who have trouble reading.

I'm with you Lime, and wasn't Geritol a sponser for the Ted Mack Amateur Hour on Sundays? And since it's St Paddy's Day Weekend, I am now inspired to go make GREEN eggs and ham for you Tony!

Someone born in 87 is just one year from legally drinking. They also do not know how to use a dial phone. Do they even make black and white TV any more? The Internet, although it existed, was nothing like this. The browser was just turning graphical. The was no IM or blogging or myspace or even email for the most part. Almost no one had a cell phone and it was not so tiny. The only instant pictures were Polaroid.

Wow how things have changed.

Quite frankly they missed out on a LOT. I wouldn't trade places with them for the World but that's just me. Hope you had a good week-end Tony!
