My outdoor project has finally started really moving. Today they started laying the forms for the retaining wall footings.
Damn, that was a lot of work, I'm beat just looking at it!

pheww! that was too much like wok!
It's hard work watching all that excavation while holding a gin and tonic, isn't it?
HHNT Tony
You definitely look a bit tired, lol.
Happy HNT!
its getting there...soon!
Holy cow! That is quite the project!
Phew.. Looks rough!
Cheers :)
LOL, it's exhausting watchign people work isn't it?
All this to be able to walk out your back door, jump in the pool, have drinks and food on a beautiful summer night or day for that matter...Geez, is it worth it? LOL.
No matter what materials I used, I still needed to replace the retaining wall and the deck. This will add more value that replacing them with wood and since the prices were close I decided to go with the concrete block wall and pavers, instead of another deck.
I also have the lowest price home in the neighborhood at about $490,000. I only paid $50,000 for the house, so there is plenty of equity to eventually pay me back for the work.
