2010 Olympics HNT

The Olympic Flame or Olympic Torch is a symbol of the Olympic Games. Commemorating the theft of fire from the Greek god Zeus by Prometheus, its origins lie in ancient Greece, where a fire was kept burning throughout the celebration of the ancient Olympics.

During the torch's trek though the USA, Lori and I had the pleasure of hosting the torch bearer for one night.

Looks more like the Statue of Liberty than a Canadian monkey! Cute though!

Gus - Darn, I never thought of it, but you're right.

Os - It is the Statue of Liberty. She was one of the torch bearers during the torches trip through the USA.

Tara - Thanks and we miss you too. XO

M - Don't tell anyone, but the torch vibrated.
