I thought I'd follow up last weeks belly button HNT post with a picture of my scar that looks like a belly button. Well, in my opinion it does. What do you think?
This scar is the from the last wound that healed after I was wounded. I was in Saint Albans Naval Hospital in Queens, New York still recovering and it was right before Christmas in 1968. The wound on my back had not healed yet and was still open, so they weren't going to let me go home for Christmas, but my pleading eventually broke them down so they let me go home. It was only for a few days, but it felt great to actually be home again.
ooohhh...that does look like a belly button. How cool is that?
ReplyDeleteHey...where's the leg shot you promised me? ;)
Wow, it does! So this is on your back? What honorable scars! Happy HNT!

ReplyDeleteYes Lee Ann, it's just one of many. Thanks for the nice comment.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a belly button that a doctor mangled when he tied it off. And aren't you glad you have such interesting scars to show?....I mean you probably almost died to get them. But aren't you glad?....
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I couldn't resist that, ok, now for the real comment.
